Al-Nisa features Arab and Muslim women artists from the greater Milwaukee area, honoring and amplifying their voices during Arab American Heritage Month. This exhibition centers their lived experiences and celebrates the vital role creative expression plays in their personal, cultural, and communal lives. Through storytelling, visual art, food, and collective gathering, the artists reflect the richness, resilience, and complexity of Arab and Muslim womanhood in the 21st century. Al-Nisa invites audiences to listen, witness, and engage with narratives that are deeply rooted, boldly contemporary, and powerfully self-defined.
